Saturday 13 March, SMARTIE PARTIE’s event is a very special combination of musical talent & nostalgic excellence. Our superstar headliner DJ TALL PAUL (full info below) has had the kind of career that transcends all that is great about being a top class Dj. He is literally UK House Royalty and has remained at the top of his game for one reason - he's a genuine talent! So we are thrilled to have the man who only plays at gigs that inspire him, grace the decks at SMARTIE PARTIE. You know its going to be a good one.
DJ TALL PAUL is a big man, at 6ft 7ins tall he's not the kind of guy you'd want to mess with and what's more he’s a world renowned superstar Dj. He began his DJing career in 1987 at the tender age of 16, playing for various nights such as ‘Trade’ at his dad's nightclub Turnmills. Paul has since DJed all over the UK, holding residencies at Turnmills' in-house brand The Gallery,Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Sundissential, Cream and Golden to name but a few. His popularity has also seen him DJ worldwide traveling to Canada , Japan , Australia , Argentina , Brazil , Hong Kong , South Africa and all over Europe . As well as playing weekly in America. Rest assured, Paul is always planning, producing and playing & its this reason why he has been continually voted in the elite 20 of DJ Magazine's top 100 DJs in the world throughout the years.
Also joining the fun on Saturday 13 March, are CLOCKWORK ORANGE the original UK club-nights who helped create the amazing global phenomenon called IBIZA (full info below). CLOCKWORK ORANGE celebrate their 17th birthday in true SP style.
CLOCKWORK ORANGE, the London/Ibiza club night was as cult a movement as the film of the same name, and in promoters Andy Manston and Danny Gould, they had two larger than life characters who were “Aving it. Aving it right off” as they say!! To this day, Clockwork Orange remains one of the most talked about and successful clubs to have ever set foot in Ibiza. The Clockwork crew lead the British invasion back in 1994, when they took over Es Paradis, and went onto become something of a global phenomenon. Everyone wanted to play for them. Everyone wanted to be on the guest-list. They were huge. It was the summer of 97, when Clockwork Orange reached the height of its powers. With Sky One screening the infamous Ibiza Uncovered back in Blighty, Danny Gould - in his Clockwork Orange em blazed white van, had become a mini-celebrity and the boys were untouchable. If you went to Ibiza, then you went to Clockwork Orange at Es Paradis, simple as. Saturday 13 March, CLOCKWORK ORANGE celebrate their 17th birthday... AlongSide SP residents & the amazing SP family & as its such a monumentous occasion its all being captured on film by THE DJ SHOW.
