GUILTY
2ND SEPTEMBER 2009 @
LULU
An unashamed selection of 5 decades of classic pop with Johnny frenetic fusing together the very finest music ever made from the 60's through to the 00's from rock 'n' roll through funk, disco, classic hip-hop and house alongside tv and film soundtracks,
Tired of hearing the same tunes in every club?
Overloaded with badly mixed bland chart, rnb & soulless electro?
We are too and think it's time to shake things up with our brand new club night 'Guilty' which runs every Wednesday @ Lulu.
Guilty is an unashamed selection of 5 decades of classic pop fusing together the very finest music ever made from the 60's through to the 00's from rock 'n' roll through funk, disco, classic hip-hop and house alongside tv and film soundtracks, indie rock, easy listening and pretty much everything else in between.
Expect to hear acts as diverse as The Beatles & The Stones, Stevie Wonder & Aretha Franklin, Blondie, The Human League and the Eurythmics, Madonna, Prince & Michael Jackson, Run DMC, De La Soul, The Stereo MC's, The Happy Mondays, Robin S & Candi Staton and maybe even the odd bit of Frank Sinatra, Dolly Parton & Glen Campbell.
To put all this together we have drafted in Johnny Frenetic (Aka John Hutchison) who brings 20+ years of music addiction and Djing experience to bear. John has toured all over Europe and the Middle East and has done everything from huge festivals, tour dj'ed with bands, radio shows and rammed club gigs supporting along the way acts as diverse as Snow Patol, Elbow, DJ Dexter from the Avalanches, Roger Sanchez, Hed Kandi and Howard Marx. It's safe to say that he will be spinning not only the finest tunes around but that they will be seamlessly mixed. Expect full dancefloors and a great friendly atmosphere with very large smiles all round.
These are the tracks you love and the tracks you have forgotten you love.
A selection of music that it's OK to sing along to and impossible not to dance to.
