ACME WORKERS CLUB
31ST DECEMBER 2009 @
RAF CLUB
The ACME WORKER'S CLUB: Auntie Joan & Uncle David present a night of good honest entertainment, with music, magic, munchies and more. Early arrival recommended!
The ACME Workers' Club may return sometime before the 31st of December 2008, and will probably feature (amongst other surprises) a live band and a burlesque artist. At the end of the night, somebody goes home with a chicken...
WATCH THIS SPACE FOR DETAILS!!!
The ACME Workers’ Club is a clubnight that starts “after work” approximately once a month on a Friday night, for people who seek exceptional value-for-money from a truly diverse evening packed with a wide variety of entertainment & dancing, but who may not particularly want or need to stay out till after 3 in the morning.
Presented by genial hosts and 'social directors', Auntie Joan & Uncle David, each clubnight features a surprising variety of performances from an ever-changing line-up of entertainers [such as: jugglers, mind-readers, balloon modellers, contortionists, burlesque artists, plate-spinners, drag artists, ventriloquists, comedians, magicians, sideshow freaks, musicians, novelty acts, dancers etc.].
PLUS; dominoes, draughts (& other games), an incredibly wide variety of music for your listening & dancing pleasure - AND (as previously mentioned) at the end of the night somebody will be going home with a chicken!
You'll LOVE the wallet-friendly bar prices (lager £2:15 a pint; spirits £1:50 a nip), and the nourishing, wholesome, no-frills food (see menu below) - it's not up-market ''haute-cuisine/supper club'', but it ain't ''greasy spoon'' either!
CLUB RULES - No foul language. Ladies & gentlemen with a sense of humour and a nice friendly attitude must be prepared to socialise with a wide variety of people.
