We at Hedz are all big fans of Leisure Records, and are very excited to welcome back ex-Birmingham resident, Rory ‘Rory Kinsella’ Kinsella, among the Leisure representatives.
With the likes of Quantic, Blackbeard, The Unabombers and The Nextmen already showing strong support, the Leisure Recordings crew is riding a funky-assed wave all the way to the beach with their latest release from in-house production duo, The Leisure Allstars.
The Bristol-based Allstars consist of DJs and producers Ali 'Plan B' Betty and Rory 'Rory Kinsella' Kinsella who've been plying their trade for the past few years DJing alongside the likes of Jazzy Jeff, Daddy G, The Herbaliser 'to name a few, and who have recently garnered worldwide recognition courtesy of guest DJ slots on Ninja Tune's highly respected Solid Steel radio show. Already working with a range of quality established singers and musicians, the Leisure Allstars album is already well under way and is sure not to disappoint.
Having recently signed a digital distribution deal with Kudos Records (their distribution company for worldwide vinyl release) Leisure Recordings now has the potential for its music to a global audience, and the release schedule is just getting busier and busier. Expect much activity from camp Leisure next year; time to don that tracksuit.

CENTRAL PROJECTION DJs: TIDAL, KYTEL & SOUL OBJECTIVE
Central Projection was originally formed by Tidal, Jay Le Roc, Kytel & Roeg Du Casq back in Summer 2004, in an effort to put on regular 'Deep + Progressive' drum 'n' bass nights in the Midlands. It was an off-shoot night by advection, fifth rise & launch pad artists. The intention was never to become promoters, but in effect they had to create a scene to play out at. This had resulted in putting on a string of successful nights towards the end of 2004 with Blame, MC DRS, Pariah & Pete Rann.
Later CP were honoured to host their first residency @ Progression Sessions alongside Good Looking Records Crew. LTJ Bukem, MC Conrad in Birmingham November 2004. (Medicine Bar - Digbeth). A new Residency has now started thanks to Carl from Hotfoot, now running in it's 3rd year. In 2005 CP entered a different phase with the help of MC Smilee, bringing a voice presence to the CP Nights. Last year saw such artists like Nookie, Big Bud, Blu Mar Ten, Galaxi (USA) Qumulus, Pete Rann & Local Boys Pariah; play in Birmingham at (Oc's Bar, digbeth)
