Jim Masters – STRING THEORY, Intec records, Base London

One of the original founders of the Ministry of Sound, Jim’s pioneering night ‘Open’ Featured debuts from the Chemical Brothers & Underworld amongst many others. His label featured artists such as Carl Craig, Green Velvet & Francios K. Also partner with Carl Cox at the legendary Ultimate Base club, Jim has had residencies at the End, Twilo in NYC and has played hundreds of major clubs and festivals worldwide. Currently he is in the studio working on a new String Theory album for Coxy’s Intec records.

DJ Largo – T.E.K. Beiak records.

Largo has been a big part of the cambridge scene and was one of the residents of the the legendary digitaldisco as well as labour of love, boomslang & obvious. Regular gigs in europe include Spain and Italy and in london at the end and velvet. His love of funky minimal is shown with his new label Beiak which is set to hit our decks in 2006.

Plus very special guest

DERRICK MAY – Hi-Tek-Soul, Transmat, Detroit

Derrick May the innovator, Derrick May the genius, whichever way you look at it, along with Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson, ‘Mayday’ is responsible for kicking off the Detroit techno scene. As Rhythim is Rhythim he has given us some of dance music’s finest moments including ‘Nude Photo’, ‘The Dance’ and probably one of house’s all time greats ‘Strings of Life’. As a DJ he has wowed crowds worldwide with his sublime mix of house, techno, electronic funk and anything else that he wants to throw into the mix. His legendary labels Transmat & Fragile have given us music from such stars as Carl Craig, Joey Beltram & Suburban Knight. His influences (and personal friends) include Yellow, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk. Giving back something to his home town, in 2003 he took over the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, renamed it Movement and it is now one of the most important dates on dance music’s calendar. This is Derrick May and he is at Bottom Heavy………………………………!
