VELVET WOMEN'S CLUB NIGHT
A Fantastic New Home for Velvet at The SpeakEasy it’s got the vibe!
Velvet Women's Club Night re-launched very successfully at The SpeakEasy in May, June and July with a great turnout of regulars and lots of nice friendly new faces, an awesome nights of naughty fun were had by all!
The SpeakEasy is run by women it’s classy and clean!
The Speakeasy is a new venue which is a rare and precious thing these days; it is like a miniature version of Velvet’s previous home Mariners which was tragically burnt down.
The SpeakEasy is well designed and comfortable night club and function space which has cleverly married together the original stone features of this ancient Edinburgh Old Town building with very interesting modern design.
Drinks are affordable, service is good, the staff are efficient, friendly and helpful which is a sheer delight in club land, DJ Jeremy thought he was dreaming! lol

Provides a safe inclusive, diverse, affordable, fun, lgbti space, for our lesbian; gay; bisexual; transgender & intersex community & friends.
We are all very excited about meeting up again to hang out with friends, meet new friends and to dance to fab tunes supplied by our fabulously eclectic DJs Trendy Wendy, Jeremy & our Velvet regulars.
The SpeakEasy is on ground level so we have disabled access, with parking available too.
They operate a speed bar service with drinks at very reasonable price all night.
They are experienced and LGBTI friendly; another LGBTI club night is running successfully at The SpeakEasy.
They also operate a strict door policy and will not tolerate illegal or dangerous substances, which is great as we have a strict Zero Tolerance Policy at Velvet as we strive to create a safe and pleasant environment for women of all ages and their invited male guests.
The SpeakEasy is very centrally located where the High Street meets The Bridges at The Tron Bar and just across from The City Café.
It also is just a short walk from Edinburgh’s busy Pink Triangle and it is located close to a Taxi Rank, The Night Bus Stances, Waverly Train Station and the Bus Station.
The SpeakEasy ticks all the boxes that are required for a suitable venue to hold the fabulous Velvet Women’s Club Night; we look forward to a long and joyous future at The SpeakEasy.
