FREE:STYLE presents DJ Yoda (How to Cut & Paste/Antidote Records) and his brand new audio-visual show. Yoda will be mixing visuals and vinyl live.
FREE:STYLE, launches on Easter Sunday 2005 (27th March) and our very special guest for this night will be DJ Yoda, who will be drawing on all the turntable skills evident of each of his 4 mix albums (How to Cut & Paste Vol 1, Vol 2 & 80s Edition and Unthugged) in order to mix up his usual handsome mish-mash of beats.
Expect a large dose of hip hop mixed up with some classic 80's, a bit of drum and bass and whatever else Yoda dreams up.
Additionally, and rather amazingly, Yoda will also be mixing live a crazy collage of film and visuals in a unique audio/visual extravaganza using the latest DVD mixing technology. Think Jam Master Jay meets Max Headroom: expect anything from Transformers cartoons to Beverly Hills Cop.
In addition to the guests, FREE:STYLE will also feature the DJ talents of its residents: Allan Dunbar and Mark Balneaves. Between them, Allan and Mark have been responsible for and resident at some of the best underground club nights in Edinburgh including Headspin, Diggin
